Summary
As a lighting engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing lighting systems for a range of projects, understanding technical aspects of lighting, and creating customized lighting plans that meet client needs. The job requires proficiency in CAD software, a deep understanding of lighting control systems, and excellent communication skills to work with other members of the design team.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include conducting lighting calculations, developing lighting plans, creating specifications, managing budgets, and overseeing the installation of lighting equipment. The lighting engineer must be able to troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during the installation process and work with clients to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Key Skills
The lighting engineer must be proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and have a deep understanding of lighting control systems, including programming and installation.
